I was particularly excited about this as I love the works of Shrigley, and its safe to say it didn't disappoint. There was an array of various different illustrations plastered across many walls, a giant rucksack, resting points - just in case you fancied a nap, a naked figurine so you could do some life drawing without the normal uncomfortable encounter of a naked stranger and a stage complete with a set up and script so you could perform a piece yourself.
I really liked the exhibit, and ended up spending quite a lot of time there. it wasn't your standard art exhibit where you merely admire the work of an artist, you could get involved with pieces yourself, and engage with it all. It was less formal and restricted, I particularly liked how casual it was. But there was no doubt his work itself even without that in my opinion was really quite something. It was amusing, daring and carefree and I do believe that's what art should be.
These are some of my photos from the exhibit itself.
